Summary:

The PRCA is teaming up with Mental Health First Aid England to address some of the issues facing employees and leaders during the current crisis. Please join us on Thursday, 28th May for a panel discussion on how to look after your mental health during COVID-19.

The current crisis is having an unprecedented impact on PR practitioners and their mental health. It has never been more important for employers to prioritise employee wellbeing but it can be difficult to know how to in the current environment.

The PRCA is teaming up with Mental Health First Aid England to share some best practice and practical tips on how employees can look after their mental health and how employers can support their staff. 

We will be joined by:

About our speakers: 

Ama Afrifa-Tchie

Ama Afrifa-Tchie is a valiant cultural builder, who's specialism spans across people experience, workplace culture, diversity & inclusion, mental health and wellbeing and corporate responsibility. She is experienced in leading the design, analysis, and implementation of people-centric products/services, inclusion & wellbeing initiatives.

She works with senior leadership, management teams, and employee engagement to; embed and integrate organisational culture through behaviour, processes and systems, and seeks to promote a positive, inclusive and supportive work environment and company culture by developing and evolving programmes and initiatives that support the organisation’s mission and values.

Ama has built her career and expertise (over 14 years ‘experience) with different industries such as - start-ups, tech, professional services, legal, financial services, media & entertainment.

Ama has an LLB in Law and a MA in Public Relations and Public Communications.

She is a Fellow of The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce UK, a Trustee of Artswork, a Governor on the Board of The Boxing Academy and the former Mentoring Chair of Women in Cable & Telecommunications (WITC UK).

Ama’s interests includes travelling, fitness, outdoors activities, theatre and movies, animation and interior decor. She is an avid foodie and loves spending time with family and friends.

Katie de Cozar

Katie has been working in B2B tech PR for more than twenty years, with a mix of in-house and agency experience. Since starting her career in the IBM press office, she’s worked for a number of companies across the tech sector, from large multinationals to start-ups. She’s led UK, EMEA and global communications programmes for the likes of Cisco, Fujitsu, SolarWinds and VMWare.

Katie joined CCgroup in December 2017 and brings a passion for developing people and their careers in a fun and supportive culture. She’s spearheaded an initiative to put mental health on a level playing field as physical health – and is a mental health first aider for the agency.

Outside of work, Katie likes hiking up mountains, binge watching American teen dramas and discovering new craft gins.
