Summary:

Almost by definition, internal communicators are in the change business. Sooner or later we help promote new behaviours, changes to processes or breaking bad news. However, there’s a lot of unnecessary mystique about change communications and, although our advisory skills are in high demand, our clients and colleagues are often unclear about the results they need or how we can help. Armed with some simple questions we can make a massive difference as organisations transform; this seminar introduces those questions and provides the foundations for good change communications

How attendees will benefit

You’ll leave with a fresh insight into the questions you should be asking    clients and colleagues considering change and be better able to advise and support. And you’ll hear how you can deepen your knowledge and practice even further.

What we’ll cover

This seminar will equip you with an understanding of:

  • The difference between change and transformation
  • Why it’s all about results and not processes
  • What gets in the way of understanding and adoption
  • The importance of DO | FEEL | KNOW...
  • ...and why one size communications rarely work
  • The questions you ask when taking the brief
  • The data you need to make a difference

Who should attend

You’ll enjoy this seminar if you already have some grounding in communications but want to develop your knowledge around the core areas of change and transformation. The session will be especially useful for anyone responsible for advising clients or colleagues and helping them make change happen.

The session is led by Liam FitzPatrick, a consultant and author who has worked on change and transformation programme around the world and across a wide range of sectors. As well as co-chairing the PRCA’s Employee Engagement Group, Liam is the co-author of best selling text Successful Employee Communications  and he trains communicators for large corporations and international bodies.
