Summary:

Zoom webinar

Event Type: Industry Event

Event Overview

Following last month’s outstanding panel event covering the IPCC report and what it means for our industry, the PRCA’s Misinformation and the Climate Crisis Strategy Group is organising a follow-up event, specifically focussing on one of the major points raised in the first event - offsets.

Too many organisations ignore the ‘reduce’ and ‘reuse’ and jump straight into offset.

The panel will cover the following five key points, ending specifically with an actionable theme:

What is offset?
What is the issue with offset?
What does good look like?
How is it being communicated badly?
How can it be communicated effectively?

Host:

Gihan Hyde, Founder, CommUnique, Sustainability Communication Specialist

Panel:

Dr Maria Carvalho - Head of Public Affairs, South Pole

David Griggs, President, Royal Meteorological Society

Chris Leeds, senior at Standard Chartered and Board Member for the new governance body that will be taking forward the work of the Taskforce (Taskforce for Scaling Voluntary Carbon Markets)

Zoom links will be sent out to all attendees 24 hours prior to the event start time. If you sign up after this time, please contact koray.camgoz@prca.org.uk for the link.

This event is worth 15 points in the PRCA CPD Programme.
