With a General Election coming, it’s time to step up your Public Affairs

Our PRCA Diploma in Public Affairs Management has been updated, which is timely given the upcoming General Election. Organisations should prioritise their political engagement to avoid increasing their risk levels. Despite the challenges associated with politics and policy-making, every organisation should engage them as politics affect the laws, regulations, and taxes that create the business environment. Not engaging in trying to influence political decisions is a failure by the organisations, and leadership teams should take a negative view of this. Political parties need new ideas and thinking, but they also require real-life experiences, evidence, and data to evaluate the workability of policy ideas.
