The collapse of Greensill Capital and the subsequent revelations about its relationship with government and Whitehall has reignited the conversation about the standards governing public affairs and lobbying in England. The revelations have resulted in a string of inquires being launched and leaders across the public affairs sector have called for greater regulation of the sector.
To discuss the fallout from the story, we are delighted to welcome Matt Honeycombe-Foster, UK Policy Editor at Politico. Joined by Chair of NextGen Public Affairs Lizzy Cryar, Matt will share his insights from reporting on the story since it first broke and discuss what it is likely to mean for government transparency, business access in Westminster and Whitehall, and the regulation of public affairs and lobbying.
