I am an executive coach and business trainer working with leaders, teams and high potential staff. I am the founder of Rachel Boothroyd Training & Coaching (www.rachelboothroyd.com).
In my role as a coach and mentor I am passionate about helping my clients identify and achieve their goals and create the tangible difference in their lives that they want. My clients appreciate the fact that I have ‘walked the talk’; I can draw on my extensive senior business experience both in the City and in agencies and what it takes to succeed at a senior level.
Clients describe my style as intuitive, supportive, astute and challenging. I have worked with a broad cross-section of business personalities to help them achieve their aims, both for themselves and their wider communities.
By the age of 37 I had a Natural Sciences degree from Cambridge University; had trained at magic circle law firm Freshfields; worked at the biggest law firm in the world Baker & McKenzie; and was an equity partner, managing board member and head of intellectual property and technology at K&L Gates, a top 20 global law firm in the City. At this time I had to face the intense personal challenge of potentially losing it all due to burnout and heart disease. This caused me to review my priorities and purpose in life.
Since then I have been on the executive team of a social media agency and trained with some of the best executive and peak performance coaches in the world. I am a certified Marshall Goldsmith stakeholder centred coach, a certified Everything DiSC facilitator and qualified trainer of the Kairos programmes The Power of Purpose and The Power of Self Esteem.
My unusual background in law, business and science gives me a unique perspective on how to combine a hard, commercial understanding of business with neuroscience and the latest training methodologies to achieve measurable, sustainable and strategic change for leaders and their teams.
My clients are from different professions and backgrounds. They include lawyers from the largest law firm in the world, Dentons, to executives at rapid growth Fintech WorldFirst, to academics at The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine to executives at The Social Element, an agency voted International Growth Business of the Year in the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards 2015.
I am a Heart Ambassador for the British Heart Foundation (BHF). As a founder member of the BHF on-line Women’s Room forum I regularly speak on behalf of the BHF to raise funds and heart health awareness.
