David is Director of Communications and Marketing for the Scouts, the largest co-educational youth organisation in the UK, with over 600,000 members. Since he started in 2015, David has introduced a successful new strategy which has seen record media coverage and online engagement, new Ambassadors and a review of the iconic Scout brand.
Before joining the Scouts, David was Head of Public Relations and Engagement at Action for Children for five years and supported the organisation through a significant change programme.
David is Past Chairman of the PR and Communications Council, a Fellow of the CIPR, and a former visiting lecturer at the University of Westminster. He is a previous winner of the IoD PR Director of the Year award.
