Kingston Smith W1 produces an annual survey of the financial performance of UK Marketing Services companies, assessing their financial performance, financial strength and key trends in KPIs for the sector. We wanted to understand how agencies which delivered strong financial results did so. So, we have carried out qualitative research into a selection of some of the most profitable agencies. Several criteria were used to identify profitable agencies and to help compare different size agencies. One of the key selection criteria used was profitability/employee and operating profit margin. This measures both productivity and a business’s abilities to translate top line revenue into bottom line profit.
