Employment Guideline
There are three principal types of employment status:
- Employees
- Workers
- Self-employed
Employment status is important because an individual‖s legal rights, protections and obligations will depend upon which class he or she falls into.
There are some special categories of working individuals, such as partners, directors, members of LLPs, apprentices and agency workers, to whom specific rules apply which are beyond the scope of this Inbrief.
