Event Overview
Michael Burrell is an independent political consultant with over thirty years’ experience advising blue-chip clients on lobbying in London and Brussels. He founded Westminster Strategy, held senior European public affairs roles at Edelman and APCO Worldwide and is currently Director of the European Centre for Public Affairs and senior adviser to Riverside Communications.
He draws on his experience to cover such areas as:
- Do’s and don’ts for research, messaging, strategy and tactics
- What psychology can teach us about how to deliver messages effectively
- The impact of cultural differences on lobbying techniques
- Criteria for engaging with the media
- Ethical issues
- The role of public affairs consultancies
