Event Overview

Alongside diversity and inclusion, sustainability was one of the highest priorities for business leaders across 2022 and will remain so for years to come. In fact, according to Deloitte’s 2023 CxO Sustainability Report, while CxOs faced a number of challenges over the last year—including economic uncertainty, geopolitical conflict, supply chain disruptions, and talent shortages—concern over climate change continues to be a top priority for their organisations. Many CxOs rated climate change as a “top three issue,” ahead of seven others, including innovation, competition for talent, and supply chain challenges.

Advising on and communicating sustainability plans, programmes and reporting progress is nuanced, multidimensional and should involve key stakeholders. Doing so in the critical space of population health adds further complications as well as opportunities.

Join the PRCA Health Group X Climate Communication Group at our first collaboration for a conversation on impactful, engaging and responsible communications to drive positive action on health and climate.

Anitra Sprauten, Director, Edelman, will facilitate an expert discussion with Dr Elaine Mulcahy, Director at the UK Health Alliance on Climate Change, and Laura Mann, Head of Sustainability Corporate Affairs & Global Partnerships at AstraZeneca.

You can expect insights around:

  • Why environmental sustainability is so important to healthcare.
  • The biggest challenges and opportunities on the health and climate agenda.
  • The role of communications in driving understanding and action from the public, policymakers, investors, employees and other stakeholders.
  • Walking the walk – tips for developing climate and health communications with impact.
